Sydney, Australia. 2010.5.20 - Digital Tsunami had a shipment of many hundreds of interactive CD-ROMs delivered to Abbott Products today.

These discs will be distributed to Gastroenterologists and Gastro-Intestinal clinicians & surgeons across Australia. The subject is Chronic Pancreatitis and Pancreatic Cancer, and the presenter is a world authority on these conditions.

In Sydney earlier this year, Digital Tsunami filmed an address by Professor Clem Imrie, Professor of Surgery at Glasgow University. The video and Prof. Imrie's PowerPoint presentation were integrated, synchronised and authored into an interactive CD-ROM disc.

Specialists viewing the disc can use a menu to select a specific slide and the corresponding segment of the speech. The disc is autorun and cross platform compatible so that it plays automatically on either PC or Mac computer systems.

In Brisbane, late last year, Digital Tsunami filmed an address by another leading authority on pancreatic exocrine insufficiency. The speaker was the world-renowned, Professor J Enrique Domínguez-Muñoz MD PhD, from the Department of Gastroenterology, University Hospital of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The host of the evening was the global brand Solvay Pharmaceuticals (which was recently acquired by Abbott).

On both occasions, medical specialists around the country were invited to meet and listen to Professors in events in multiple cities across Australia.

Digital Tsunami was responsible for end-to-end delivery from location video production, disc authoring, label and sleeve design, to the duplication of many hundreds of discs.

This is just one project of many which Digital Tsunami has delivered in the healthcare sector, including websites for pharmaceutical clients, professional physicians and the health service organisations. These have included an online stock ordering system for pharmaceutical distributors, a YouTube of health videos (HealthCentre.TV) and videos for Merck shot on locations from Taipei to Kota Kinabalu.
