Abu Dhabi, UAE. 2010.3.3 - A number of TSME team members participated in the inaugural Abu Dhabi Triathlon and used the opportunity to raise funds for the Children's Arthritis trust.

Mr Clint Theil, the Waste Services Manager for TSME, was the teams's 'professional' entrant. Clint managed to complete the 223 km event in an impressive time of 8 hour and 52 minutes.

The fundraising drive was led by TSME General Manager, Mr Tim Harwood. When asked about his participation, Tim said "I am doing this with 3 mates. As a group, we decided to try and raise some money for the UK Children's Arthritis Trust. It's a great cause, and I am happy to do my bit to try and raise some much needed funds". The team all managed to complete the gruelling circuit and raised almost AED 18,000 !!

Although Clint regularly uses these opportunities to raise money for various charities, this race was just a training exercise for the main event, The Frankfurt Ironman which takes place in July. During that event he'll be raising money for the John Maclean Foundation.
